Our Mission

S.G. Fine Homes and Builders, Inc. was first established in 1985 with a vision to provide high quality craftsmanship combined with timely project completion. This soon became our mission statement as architects, designers and customers responded with enthusiasm at our attention to detail and our ability to accomplish both goals.

How We Work

We believe in building an honest and trustworthy relationship with our clients is the key to laying a solid foundation to any project. Right from the start, you will work closely with Steve our Project Manager to streamline the construction process and assist in the design build with our designers and architects.

What separates us from other contractors is our hands on approach. Steve will devote all of his time to processing the paperwork, design change, and shopping with you to help you make smart and sophisticated design decisions. While our team of highly skilled and creative artisans does the actual physical work. You can depend on Steve, with his excellent management and communication skills,  and his talented team to realize your vision in a timely manner.

Don’t just take our word for it… Read what others have said about us.

Meet “Builder Steve”

Steve Grabianowski is the owner and founder of S.G. Fine Homes & Builders. His expertise lies in executing and managing projects with a team of artisans he has procured.

He attended apprentice school in the 1970s and was awarded the status of Journeyman Carpenter one year ahead of the class, and was a runner up in the apprenticeship competition. He learned all phases of construction to prepare himself for self employment. Within 3 years of becoming a Journeyman he earned his California Contractors License.

Steve completed many small residential projects before he was hired as a Superintendent for a local commercial contractor. As a Superintendent, he managed several heavyweight ventures including Oracle, Autodesk, Kinetixs, Stanford Hospital, Sequoia Hospital and Applied Biosystems.

In 1997, he decided to pursue self-employment, and has since undertaken hundreds of projects during his tenure as an independent contractor, from small repairs to condominium building, to bathroom remodels to multi-million dollar residential remodels.

It is my opinion that I always have time for my past clients even if it is a small job such as adjusting their door. I am loyal to them because they provided the work which has made me the success that I am today. If I personally cannot help them I give them a trusted referral and follow up. I enjoy what I do and bring to the table the best value for my clients money in labor, material and products.
